Attempt No. 1
She was not the kind of person
who could tell if it was going to rain by the way her knee clicked or by
feeling the wind on her face. But she was the kind of person who could feel that
something bad was happening to someone she loved, even if that someone was far
away. Her heart would begin to beat faster, like heart palpitations and it was
a sign that something bad was happening which will affect either her or her
loved one’s life. Only, she dint know about this too, which is why when on the Saturday
morning her heart started to beat widely and she felt like putting her hand
over her heart to quell its agitation, she thought it was nothing but lack of
oxygen or heart palpitation. She never expected that at that moment, due to
actions that were happening far away, her life was changing in a way that she was
not prepared for nor will be she ready for it for a long time. Being oblivious to
the churning of life, she continued with placating her heart in a manner similar
to caressing an agitated child and which no doctor has ever used. She was planning
on stepping out of the house and finishing some errands. But then, she caught
sight of the book kept on the bed and heard the silent house and she decided
she could always do the shopping later, but getting the house all to herself
was rare. So she stayed put in her room and after sprawling on the bed like she
was the most tired person on the planet, she started reading her book, after
all The Far Pavilions required the entirety
of her ever wavering attention.
The problem with starting
something which is based on reality is that to take it in any manner appears to
be prophetic, which at all times must be avoided.
