Two days

 i am not just those two days

i have a past and a future

and a present 

which is so much more 

than the two days

i have nights that are full of content

and mornings full of lazy

evenings full of chai

and afternoons of sleep

i have descendants roaming the streets

and ancestors lounging in the sun

i have rooms to visit

and wonders to explore

everyday

i am more than those two days

i am a mum, a boss, a kid, a sister, 

a daughter, a maasi, a girlfriend, a reader,

a colleague, a child, a tough one and a vulnerable one.

And possibly so, so are you.
