and then there was darkness

never ending and ever exceeding

a yearning in the heart

of wonder and longing

the continuum of pain and loss

of sadness and sorrow

where is the life gone

where is the love lost 

was it ever there

was that friendship even true

i am trying to hold on to

but to what i cannot see

i want to hold on to

but to something that is not even free

was it worth it all

and is it still worth it all

or should i not just submit

to the hopeless meaninglessness of it all

* i don't have a name for it, and i lost the original. but this has bits of original and some new.. the original was written in 2009/2010 maybe. Around the time when i was trying to grow up, to be more "Mature". only i realise now that "humse na ho payega."
i now think that the bit in italics was not part of the original. it does not fit somehow. but well, its there so its there.
