I am vain.

There was a t shirt that I had that said “Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.” 

 

I think I got it sometime in the second year ending of college during my Supreme Court internship. It was purchased from the stipend money that Gaurab Banerjee had given to us for internship. And from that time till the last year, so for 3 years approximately, it was my favourite t shirt which I wore everywhere. It was this perfect blue and what was written on it was also in another shade of blue. I don't know if I have a picture of the t shirt (let me see I will go back to my old pictures of college and see if I can find them). Anyway, so there I was wearing this t shirt of mine with one of those 2 Lee denims that I had which I really loved. And it went well together, simple. 

 

Until one day when I woke up and I saw that the t shirt that I had kept outside for drying was not there. I don't know whether somebody picked it up deliberately or whether somebody picked it up not deliberately. Whatever it may be, I lost it that day. When I think back now, somewhere I was always expecting to lose it and was thus not surprised or hurt from having lost it that day. 

For years after that I tried to find the same colour and /or the same line, but I didn't succeed.

 

Sigh, it was a good t shirt.

 

And maybe this should tell you that clothes hold a special place in my heart.
